Underground Dream recently had a conversation with up and coming dancer Ieema Copland out of California. Here is what she had to say about a few questions we asked.....
WHAT KIND OF DANCER DO YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF?
I would consider myself a hungry versatile dancer. I say that because not only am I trained in hip hop, I'm also technically trained in jazz, ballet, tap, and many more genres. I continue to grow and utilize each form of dance to reach greatness.
WHAT DRIVES YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
"Hungry" comes from all the trails and struggles I've been through. Those struggles are what keep me starving and striving for nothing but greatness!
WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS/GOALS?
As a young inspiring artist my goals and dreams are not only to be an exceptional dancer, but also to be a creative director, choreographer, owner of a clothing line, and an actress . I want to be UNFORGETTABLE.
WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR ROLE MODELS?
My three main role models would be my mother, Ashley Paul, and Laurie Ann Gibson. They have all played a significant role in helping me model my life.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
What inspired me to dance was my love for Jesus Christ, he gave me the talent and opportunity to tell my story through dance and I am forever in debt to his everlasting love for me.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE?
A quote that I live by and that helps keep me leveled would have to be "Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none."
